Visiting Rehn Hall
First things first. When you visit Rehn Hall, you have to remember that girls are odds and boys are evens. We’re referring to restrooms, of course. Girls’ restrooms are located on the odd floors and guys’ are located on the even floors. Everything else falls into place after that.
In keeping with the same drive for innovation as that of the first dean of the College of Business, Henry J. Rehn, Rehn Hall keeps pace with technology. All lecture rooms have fully-integrated presentation capabilities, for whatever medium you wish to use, including SmartBoards. And Rehn Hall has wireless internet capabilities throughout. While we all know nothing ever goes wrong with technology, we have taken all precautions at Southern Illinois University. Just in case. With attentive personnel who can help you with any problem should technology throw one of its rare temper tantrums, you’re set to go.
And when recruiters visit Rehn Hall, they will always have access to close, convenient parking, without fearing an encounter with the parking division.
Visiting Carbondale
Find your home away from home in Carbondale and spend time taking in its beauty and surrounding areas.
Venture out to a winery and absorb the beauty of Southern Illinois as you and a friend sip on a glass of your favorite wine. You can even make a day-long event of the wineries if you visit the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail.
If you’d rather something a little more vigorous, you can go hiking at Giant City Park or any other park in the gorgeous Shawnee National Forest. You can even go rock climbing and rappelling in designated areas.
When you’re all done spend a peaceful evening in a great atmosphere at restaurants such as Global Gourmet or Thai Taste. Or, just relax at one of the many coffee shops, like Common Grounds or Melange.
And, of course, you can always participate in Saluki Pride by going to one of the many cultural or sporting events on campus, such as a football game or a tailgating event. |
